Pours brown, not red with a reasonable head. The taste is toasty malts with notes of rye grain. Hints of caramel. The smell is a bit sweet. Mid-grade

Enjoyed a decent sample approx 6 oz. at a Backyard Beer Festival held by a friend of mine. Straight from the brewery via mini-growler.
Appearance - A ruddy amber color with a few red hues. Small cap of off-white head was poured. Not clear, but not really hazy, gave of the appearance of some sediment into the sampler glass when poured.
Smell - Big grainy nose on this beer that is full and has hints of caramel. Toasted crackery grain mainly but a very fine aroma.
Taste - Crackery grain again, although dialed down aways from the nose, with some hoppy bitterness interspersed between tastes of grain.
Mouthfeel - Moderate carbonation and finish, heavier than average body for an amber although not unpleasantly so.
Overall - One of a couple offerings I tried from Brock Street and enjoyed both of them, definitely a brewery I'm looking forward to keeping my eyes peeled for.
