Purchased at the brewery for around the $15.00 mark but can't be sure as the receipt was not itemized. Served at 6deg C in a draught glass
A- Opens a bit difficultly with wax on swing top but can see why they would do that since swing tops I have found have problems losing seal. Very dark brown colour and filtered clear. Nice 1" high white head when poured that films out within 3mins or so
S- Not a lot here. Decent malt and caramel but subdued
T- VERY nice balance and blending. No heat at all for this high ABV. Super good sweetness to bitterness ratio. Works on a lot of levels. The spice level is present with cardamom and clove. Again mild and un-obtrusive.
M- Creamy good! Dries out at the end
O- Never really liked barely wines. Past experiences were pretty bad but this one was fantastic and my mind is changing.
Food Pairing
This pretty good little brew went very well with...... BBQ'd skewers of beef, onion, bell pepper, mushroom and zucchini squash. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and cayenne pepper but not much.
Enjoy
