Appearance - Poured from a 750 ML bottle into a Teku, pours pitch black with 1 finger of bubbly off white head. it is so black I can't see carbonation but it's feeding a decent lacing.
Aroma - On the nose you get a rich coffee, with a bit of sea salt and there is a light aroma of chocolate but I can't tell whether milk or dark and a sugary sweetness I'm guessing comes from the oysters.
Taste - roasted malts and coffee are the strongest flavors here. followed by a bit of salt and sugary sweetness again, I'm guessing are the oysters. Really not much else but it really is a decent flavour and I'm not really a seafood fan. I Think the point to recognize here is the oysters don't taste like they do as food.
Feel - This beer has a light body with moderate carbonation. It isn't very sweet but has a sweetness mid taste and goes down extremely smooth after being moderately pricky on the tongue.
Overall - While not a fan of seafood I didn't mind the flavor of this beer in fact it reminded me of porters more than stouts but I guess that makes sense when stouts remind me of a chocolaty flavor mixed in. This was a very nice stout and I urge you to try it if you get your hands on it, as it may change your opinion or oyster stouts or any beer with seafood in it as it's done for me.
