An IPA brewed with Amarillo, Centennial, Chinook, Citra and Simcoe Hops, which are all added in the whirlpool and fermenter. This produces an intense citrus aroma, like walking through a tangerine grove. The body of the beer is smooth and sweet. It finishes with a pleasant citrus bitterness.

A: The beer is very hazy yellow in color. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that died down but left a collar around the edge of the glass and a patch of bubbles on the surface.
S: Light aromas of orange and citrus hops are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has a bit stronger flavors of oranges along with hints of grapefruit.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and a little juicy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer has nice juicy flavors of citrusy hops.
Serving type: can

New hazy formula version. Pours somewhat hazy. Taste is regular ipa meets NE ipa. Bitter, earthy, floral, grapefruit, and pineapple. Medium bodied. Pretty decent.

This beer pours a pale amber with an average head. The aroma is classically west coast with citrus, pine, and a touch of mango. The flavor, however, leads with loads of peach, a touch of sweetness, caramel, grapefruit, pine, orange juice, and more peach on the finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with creamy soft carbonation. Overall this ia really fun beer - it smells fairly west coast, but then the flavor comes across as so peachy, with middling bitterness, that is really quite lovely. I must say I tried this when fresher and found it harsh, but that may have been a green phase, as it is now quite tasty.

Poured from a 12oz can into glass. Stamped on bottom of can is 'CANNED ON 02/28/18'.
Mostly clear, but slightly cloudy deep gold colored body. Two finger white head settles to thin cap and ring. Lots of spots and strings of lacing.
Aroma of orange citrus and melon fruit. Bready malt background.
Taste is first sweet melon and orange citrus, followed by more bitter citrus pith. Some floral hops also. Backed by bready malts. Finishes more sweet than bitter. Slight hop burn.
Medium mouth feel, slightly toward the syrupy feel. Supported by good carbonation.
The 56 Brewing website describes this as a "New England style IPA", but I don't see this. It's more an IPA with a good balance of hops and malts. Certainly pleasant to drink.

12oz can. Poured out a clear, orange color with golden highlights and a small, tan head of foam. It smelled of orange peel, caramel and hints of pine. Sweet orange flavor with pine bitterness and toasted caramel.

12oz can, no date that i can make out
Great name, great beer. Stinky dank hop scent, but very clean. I wish my house smelled like this. Bread, dry leaves, weed, hard water and lots of juicy dank hops. Easy to drink, it's 7% and I (foolishly) feel like I could take down 15 of these. No appearance to comment on.
Give me a keg-rigged garden hose that sprays this directly into my mouth

Nice aroma to this with a blend of floral and citrus notes...melons...
Flavor holds more citrus with tangerines, and grapefruit up front..melons....and some light pine as well.
Body is medium and slightly undercarbonated. A light dry bitterness lingers...
Enjoyable IPA.

Appearance: Pours clear and copper colored; the one inch cap fades rather quickly, leaving spotty lace
Smell: Caramel tones with an herbal, piney aspect; a hint of honeydew
Taste: Caramel forward, with herbal, rather grassy bitterness building; piney tones develop, after the swallow, with the caramel underpinning a somewhat sweet finish; the honeydew is most pronounced in the aftertaste
Mouthfeel: Medium body withlow to moderate carbonation
Overall: Somewhat old school, from back when the malt backbone would underpin an IPAs bitter qualities
Thanks, TBach, for the opportunity

F: smooth with a medium body and carbonation
O:a pleasant full flavored drinker with an almost elixir-like quality
