a crisp and hoppy pils thats at once full flavored and easy drinking. maybe the most simple and straight forward to style beer i had in here, they had a lot of more adventurous things going on while i was there, but its just as well made as any of them, and sports a strong noble hop profile in both nose and taste. its far more than just the grassy bitterness we associate with the style. instead its a really robust and delicious flavor profile too, classic, limey, well integrated. the pilsener malt tastes fresh to me too, and the yeast has been given enough time to dry this right out and make it snappy and refreshing, it goes down way too easily! simple beer like this is coming back into vogue, i have seen more craft pale lagers in the last few years that i have ever seen before, and i think its still accelerating. people apparently want some lighter options among the trees when they go to these taprooms, and having one this good is becoming essential, though this is better than most of its peers i have dabbled with recently. clean and light but also hearty in that classic pils malt way. i was impressed with the overall quality of all the beer in here, and even though the twin cities have many fine pils types, this one deserves a little love.
