16oz can from Tavour. Hazy orange golden color, thick, fluffy white head, floaties. Light fruity, citrus aroma. Taste brings in citrus peel astringency, grapefruit. Feels thick in body, but thin on the palate. Feels like something's missing.

I like this better than In Absentia, it's a fruitier with less bitter/pith/grapefruit rind type of vibe (though in absentia isn't *really* that grapefruity/bitter, we're talking in relative terms) but still has enough to finish clean and instigate another sip. It's super tropical and kind of reminds me of a recent finback crush together, which had mango coconut and orange added, but none of that is present in this. Definitely a destination beer if they have it, make the road trip, take the backroads and enjoy.

Canned 6 days ago.
L -- Glowing hazy orange body with 1.5 fingers of dense white head produced with moderate pour. Good retention and lacing
S -- Melon, papaya, fresh pine, dank rubberiness, sweet floral, hint of mango. Very expressive
T -- Fresh cut pine, grapefruit pith, green mango, wet leafy earthiness
F -- Medium mouthfeel, medium carb
O -- Reminds me of Tilted Barn's Other One and Chosen One beers. NEIPA appearance and malt bill, west coast hop character
87/100

Serving: Can
Canned: Jul-10-2019 (Consumed Aug-11)
Pours a cloudy peach flesh-colored body with a fluffy couple fingers of juice froth head that drops to a film; little lacing.
Thick peach, apricot, mango, overripe cantaloupe sweetness on the nose. The flavor is more on the earthy, fleshy side, definitely not bitter; more like the skins of the fruits in the aroma. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation and well-hidden alcohol. This is an extremely nice IIPA. It looks and drinks exactly like it should. The aroma, though, is incredible. Big fruity nose with overripe melon and tropical fruit. The flavor follows with more subdued sweetness and the faintest hint of a bite. It is drinkable and generally very tasty. An excellent beer that I'd jump at the chance to have again.

Poured from a 16 oz can dated last week, into the pint glass.
A - Almost glowing sunflower yellow in color, loose knit cap of white froth rides the top. Lacing is enticing.
S - All fruit, ripe cantaloupe, peach, pine apple reduced, orange freshly peeled and ripe.
T - Sweet malts dance so well with fruity hops, orange, papaya, dragon fruit, all on a plate.
M - Soft water feel, semi sweet start, then balanced bitterness keeps this in the lanes, drying linger offers the full experience.
O - Another wonderful offering from a talented brewer. Full on DIPA more subtle than bold, hop schedule and malt base are in sync, the yeast used is neutral and does not complicate things. Alcohol is hidden well, mouth feel is just right.

Drank on tap at Brick & Feather Brewery, Turners Falls, MA
Served in a Willi Becher
Really nice appearance. The cloudy, glowing orangey-yellow liquid was topped by a tight, frothy, inch-tall, bright white crown that fell to a thick, foamy collar. Big swaths of streaky lacing stuck along the glass and lasted until nearly the drink’s end.
The nose was hoppy and fruity but somewhat nondescript. Generic tropical fruit notes were apparent. Some mango perhaps. Bit of peachiness too. As the beer sat, citrus notes came forth. Orange and tangerine specifically. Later, the nose became more subdued.
Citrus notes dominated in the flavor profile. Loads of freshly squeezed orange and tangerine juices. Fairly tart and tangy. Crisp and wheaty in the center. Big ripe pineapple presence too. Grapefruit appeared as the beer moved along the palate. Subtle grapefruit rind-like notes came through in the finish. Touch of pithy bitterness. Overall, really well balanced.
Fantastic creamy, frothy mouthfeel. Fuller bodied for the style. The liquid contained a fine, zippy effervescence that turned slick and smooth on the palate.
No Use For Smugglers is a very solid beer that could be even better if the hop profile popped more and/or was a bit more distinct. Regardless, I am happy to see that Brick & Feather is canning this beer, along with a number of their others too. Hopefully someday they will make their way out to bottle shops in eastern Massachusetts.

Enjoyed at Armsby Abbey.
A - Poured into a stemmed tulip a nice hazy golden orange hue with a one finger head that fades to leave sticky lacing and a thin blanket.
S - Aromas of dank musty hops, lightly sweet stone fruits, little bit of grassy hops and pine. Definitely some mosaic going on. Very aromatic.
T - Taste is similar to the nose with nice dank hops. Really nice grapefruit and citrus peel. Decent citrus peel on the finish. Stone fruit is lighter than on the nose.
M - Mouthfeel is very nicely carbonated, alcohol hidden well, medium body. Nice.
O - Overall this was a very enjoyable dipa. The nose was really nice.

As close to a perfect NE DIPA as I've ever had. Right up there with Hill, Treehouse, etc. Bursting with tropical fruit in both aroma and flavor. Sweet but balanced by acidity and bitterness. Just the right amount of dank/pine from the hops. Only possible criticism is it finishes with just a hint of astringency & dry mouthfeel. On the whole a truly world-class offering from a very approachable and humble brewery.
