From a 16oz can, dated 06/25/20. Served in a Brick & Feather-branded Pilsner glass (I don’t own a stein).
Pours a mostly clear ruby-tinged copper with two fingers of bubbly head. Retention is OK, leaving a thickly bubbled, creamy, pocked curtain of lacing.
A moderately robust, earthy nose of brown bread and honey.
Taste is unexpectedly dry, earthy, chalky. Tobacco, bread crusts, bitter herb.
Feel is silky smooth, medium bodied with a bit of chew, gently carbonated.
Overall, a subtly tasty beverage, smooth and satisfying.

Foundry Northampton, MA.
A- Deep nutty toffee pour from the draft to a half liter mug. Thick two finger head has a frothy consistency and good retention dropping tons of lace.
S- Bready and toasty fresh cracked grains with a smooth and subtle lager ferment. A hint of herbal and noble hops.
T- Opens up and expands on the clean lager ferment and grains found in the nose. Bready, nutty, crackery and toffee malts with a light sweetness. Earthy and spicy hops round out a simple yet effective flavor.
MF- Light-medium bodied with a smooth and silky, slightly creamy consistency. Moderate level of carbonation and a clean bitter finish.
Well done lager that is malty up front with a smooth hop balance.

Had this on tap at Seymour. The beer has a murky amber appearance with some thick lacing. I could sense a floral, buttery aroma wrapped in a roasted smell. The beer was bitter with a little sugar, sweet malt aftertaste. The beer had a pretty decent mouthfeel with good carbonation. Overall, I really liked the aromas to this beer.

Poured from a growler filled the day before, into the pilsner glass
A - Red cedar colored backdrop, a slight haze as this is unfiltered lager, the carbonation is deliberate and in no hurry. A quick to dissipate cap of off white rides the glasses interior.
S - Lightly roasted malts, some Munich for certain, aromatics include lite brown sugar, earthy hops, a hint of clove.
T - Delightful malt base on display, just sweet enough, pumpernickel cracker, a bit of pepper (maybe Tettnang hops). An increase in temperature brings out a very mild nuttiness.
M - Not a hefty feel, but not lite either, the start is semi-sweet, quick transition with just the right right amount of bitterness to offset that start. The carbonation is spot on adding enough prickly feel to clean the palate. Linger is dry and quick.
O - So glad the brewer tied up a fermenter to lager this lovely offering, The feel, flavors and aromatics are all in line in this delightful offering. As a brewer known for his APA,IPA , offerings I think this is a great display of the craft.
Well done
