Cream Ale brewed with North American 2-row and 6-row barleys, Rice, Rye, and locally grown and malted corn. We fermented with a clean ale yeast and then lagered the beer for 4 weeks. "Ode" lovingly tiptoes the line between a fruity ale and a crisp clean lager. Perfect for your late summer enjoyment!

Pours almost clear yellow with barely any head to speak of. The aroma is of very pale malt with some faint Euro-y hop floral quality. The flavor is just what you'd expect from the style, light and easy with nice bread crust quality, apple skin, a hint of corny twang and a relatively crisp/very lightly hopped finish. It is pretty dry with active carbonation and has a clean finish. A nice cream ale all told. It has just about the right amount of corniness to not overwhelm and just enough hops for them to not be overwhelmed. Pretty dang nice drinking. It was on point for the style but a little sweet and could be dried out a bit for my tastes. Kind of muddled if this sort of simple easy drinking style can be muddled. Still and all it was very nice.

Had this beer on tap at Seymour in Greenfield. The beer was mostly clear with a yellow appearance and a thick head that dissipated. Very nice aromas to this beer; almost flowery with grains. For a cream ale, I found the beer both light and refreshing. It indeed had a creamy texture, but the brewery did a good job making something that was not too heavy. Overall, I really enjoyed this beer across its characteristics.

From a 16oz can, dated 08/20/18 I think - the date stamp is smudged. Served in an imperial pint pub glass.
Pours a brilliantly clear, super-pale straw-gold with a couple of fingers of soft, sudsy, white head. Retention is OK, leaving a small fizzy collar and no lacing.
Nose is sharp and clean. Damp cereal, underripe peach and a bit of soap.
Taste is bright and refreshing, mixed malts and fruity yeast. Peach, pear and, again, that bit of soap which, I think, is how I must be tasting corn or rice, or both. Earthy and fruity like a juice box with a fast, clean finish.
Feel is slick, smooth and creamy, medium bodied with bright carbonation.
This is a beer which cannot be sipped, which must be gulped but, at a modest 4.9% abv, there's no reason why I shouldn't. A cream ale can never be in the same league as Lawrence's NEIPA's but it's a tasty beer and I was happy to chug a couple after mowing the lawn.

Poured from a fresh growler into the test glass
A - Wonderful clarity allows for the full display of determined carbonation. Golden colored canvas with a bright white cap.
S - Touches of the adjuncts, some corn, a bit of rice as well, the malted grains are in the mix with a hint of earthy hops
T - Nice complexity, malted corn is up front the rye adds just a bit of spice, the malted barley both 2 and 6 row keep the sweet and earthy in wonderful balance.
M - Delicate on the palate, carbonation is spot on, almost prickly. Start is a bit dusty with the rye, rice, malted corn all adding some heft to this 4% offering. The feel is fantastic, finish is crisp and dry.
O - A true Ode to summer here, feel is medium bodied, with a full quiver of flavors. The right down the middle hop touch is wonderful. A very well constructed offering from talented brewers. Perfect on this summer day
