From the 12 oz bottle in a snifter. This rather nice Oktoberfest pours a
nice clear deep amber color with a decent head of off white foam that
subsides to a thin ring, thin pool, and features nice light lacing. Nose of
sweet rum, brown sugars, and cask. Flavors exceed by presentation with
sweet rum notes on breaded malts and cask notes with brown sugar touches
and a subtle herbal hop on the rear. Nice mouth feel, smooth, medium low carbonation
that is lightly crisp cutting through the sweetness, and a sweet rum touched finish.
Overall, I personally like it----no style should always be "pure" and untouched. Rum cask
I would prefer any day over heavy booze laden bourbon. While on the sweet side it is a
solid beer. Kudos to Goodwood for the idea. Nice presentation!
Cheers

Pours a nice copper color with small floaters through out the brew, doesn't say its bottle conditioned so who knows. Head is one finger tan from a strong pour falls to a ring not much lace.
Aroma is definite rum barrel notes, wood, sweet malts bready almost cloying aroma but might be the rum sweetness coming out.
Taste is bready malt not as sweet as the aroma. The rum is definitely dominating this one. Not sure people should mess with this style, seems like anytime they try it ends up not good. Sorry I bought a 4 pack but who knows before having one.
Mouthfeel is solid medium with fairly mellow carbonation.
Overall wouldn't buy more then one to try but who knows everyone's tastes are different.
