Draft at Goodwood. Dark, ruddy amber body, soft soapy beige head. Malty aroma, light sweetness, woody, barrel notes. Taste is sweet malt, followed by some hoppy bitterness and then the barrel bringing some boozy accents.

Juicy with newer hops but malted and fermented to classic Imperial IPA recipe, GoodWood Brewing is bringing more than one classic back from the dead. Once the word gets out, its going to be all the rave.
With a mid-amber, slight honey appearance, a bubbly appearance quickly builds an eggshell froth and a tropical, caramelized scent laced with peppery grasses, herbs and botanicals. Moderate sweetness graces the tongue with a honey, caramel, nutty and toasty taste of granola to start the session off.
But the attention soon turns to the hops. Tangerine, pink grapefruit and lime tease the senses while a more succulent taste of the tropics step in with pineapple, mango and papaya- all seeming of the grilled fruit variety. A quick dive into medium bitterness allows a crisply bitter balance to offset the fruit and lingering malts with fresh spruce, fresh-cut grass and peppery hemp.
Medium full in body, the beer's bold upstart shows a rapid transition toward dryness and drinkability. Quite grassy in its finish, a vegetal bite comes in at the end. Part of midwest Imperial IPA, part of the haze, 2 Live Brew is definitely a dance party for the tastebuds, but that hop-back you got makin' me so hoppy.
