On-tap at Preyer Brewing Company, Greensboro, NC
A: The beer is slightly hazy pale yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a thin white head.
S: Light aromas of pale malts are present in the nose along with some hints of rye.
T: The taste follows the smell, except that the rye is a little more apparent, contributing some spiciness to the taste.
M: It feels just about medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer does a good job of combining the properties of a rye ale and a pale ale, but seems like it could use a little more bitterness from the hops.

My first try of s new GSO brewery.Came in a standard pint a clear lighter golden with with a thinner white head atop.Muted grainy aromas with a bit of toast and faint rye spice.Dryer on the palate with a light mouthfeel, mild sharpness in the finish from the rye.Pretty ho hum here.

A: Pours a relatively clear medium yellow in color with light to moderate amounts of active carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass and moderate golden yellow highlights. The beer has a half finger tall foamy white head that reduces to a medium to large sized patch of very thin film and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light to moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Very light aromas of grainy malts, spicy rye, and earthy hops.
T: Upfront there is a light flavor of sweet grainy malts with are quickly overtaken by moderate to strong flavors of rye spiciness. That is followed by a very light flavor of earthy hops which impart a light to moderate bitterness which lingers.
M: Slightly less than medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Slightly thin/watery with a light amount of crispness and just a hint of dryness in the finish.
O: Slightly out of balance with the rye flavors dominating over the hops. Easy enough to drink but I would prefer it with the rye dialed back just a touch and maybe using a slightly more assertive hop.
