Our Rye Pale Ale has wonderfully assertive hop aroma notes of Tropical Fruit, Apricot and Grapefruit balanced with a spicy caramel sweetness. The finish starts with a spicy maltiness smoothing out to a mild bitterness that dries out for a crisp balance rarely experienced.

Looks like this will also be the first review of this beer on BA.
Pours dark for a pale ale, full on amber ale color SRM territory. Perhaps the use of rye is the source of this darker than average scenario we find ourselves in. 1/2" white head. The aroma was nice, compared to their ipa, this was actually more aromatic. Not sure what was there, had some of that usual C hop grapefruit/pine combo, but there was a little hint of some stone fruit with it too.
Taste wasn't as malty as it looked. Didn't pull the rye "spiciness" many speak of, but I rarely do. Still pushed a light grapefruit, pine, apricot vibe in that order. ABV on the bottle was listed as 5.7%. Drier than you would expect looking at it, again, lighter than its appearance, carbonation on point, finished relatively crisp and better than expectations after looking at it. Kind of a coin toss, but I preferred this one, albeit ever slightly more than the ipa. Both good though, wouldn't hesitate to pick these up again in better formats.
