Pours a vibrant, clouded, orange-golden color, with a huge, spongy head.
Smells of a kiwi pulp infused dankness, also inheriting a dash of maracuya. Orange peel and slightly tart yeast settle atop this foundation, creating an intriguing fruitiness, balanced by slightly biscuity malts.
Drinks truly smooth, remaining its pleasant mouthfeel till the end, even when a sparkly carbonation comes up after the swallow. Hides its 8 abv body very well, drinks fairly easy, with a warming, maltier finish.
Tastes of lemon zest, which adds a dry bitterness from the start, wrapped up in soft dough and caramel malts, hiding its sweetness underneath a slightly metallic carbonation. Prickly kiwi, more lemon and a whiff of maracuya create a pleasant, diverse hoppiness, ranging from bitter to fruity dank, with slowly evolving malts producing a pleasant balance. Finishes sweeter, now heavily relying on toffee malts, together with dry lemon peel and a creamy softness.
Focussed and unusual, regarding its hop profile, with a great mouthfeel to it. If it wasn't for the sweet, slightly boozy finish, this would be flawless.
