A 440ml can with a BB of Nov 2018. ABV is stated as 4%. Purchased a little while back from Cost Cutter. Called Summer Pale, this is a hoppy pale ale fermented with London Fog yeast and hopped with Citra, Chinook, Galaxy, Centennial and Motueka.
A: Poured into a tulip. Can-conditioned. A rich, hazy amber hue with intense carbonation and fine suspended sediment. Yields a large head of creamy white foam with good retention; this slowly reduces to a persistent surface layer. Slight lacing.
S: Aroma of seriously fruity hops with hints of mango, papaya, tropical fruit, citrus, peel, white grape, melon, ale yeast, mild earthiness and a touch of pale malt. Lovely.
T: Tastes of fruity aromatic hops with notes of mango, tropical fruit, mild citrus, white grape, melon, ale yeast, earthiness, pale malt and light grain. Pretty dry, followed by a modest hoppy bitterness upon swallowing.
M: Mouthfeel is smooth, tingly and dry, with spritzy carbonation and good body for the strength. Lightly astringent. Aftertaste of fruity hops, mild bitterness, ale yeast and faint malt.
O: Rather nice; a hoppy pale ale with lots of fruit on display. Looks great, while the aroma and flavour are stuffed with fruity hops underpinned by ale yeast and subtle malt. Nice body. Refreshing and very drinkable - goes down a treat. Worth sampling.
