We brewed this tawny lager with a hint of smoked Beech malt in collaboration with our friends from Dry and Bitter. A lightly smoked BBQ season beer that sets off a chain of charitable donations each step of the way from brewer to your glass. We're donating 50% of our profits from this beer to CRUK Manchester Institute appeal and Oxfam's Yemen Crisis appeal.

Poured to a Ora et Labora taster.
A: Body is yellow-ish, non-hazy, with a minimal white head. No lacing. No retention.
S: The aroma is just minimal of smokiness. There's also some earthiness, grassiness.
T: Taste starts off green and sweet, like a belgian candi and then turns to a overly smoky finish. I don't like this end.
M: Body is medium to low. Bitterness is low. Smokiness is to a level I don't like.
O: This is a beer I don't like. Smokiness is too harsh. It's actually dizzying to my stomach.

Poured a copper orange body with good head and lace ring. The aroma is smoky and meaty. Clean, smooth, crisp beer with mild meatiness and smokiness and a bit of heat in the finish. Not the most flavorful rauchbier but it's ok and worth trying.
