Our Light Lager is designed for ease of enjoyment, providing serious drinkability without compromising on flavour. It's brewed to be thirst-quenching, crisp and dry, combining a subtle lemon and herbal hop character with light sweetness and a pronounced, lasting malt character.

440ml can from Cloudwater Online Shop (£2.25):
Very light straw & clear bodied with a thin, half cm head that's bubbly & white with more build up around the edges. Faint citrus & lemon initially with pale malts & corn like notes to finish but its basic & light. It's zesty tasting with faint floral hops, lemon & light biscuit around the middle, slightly stronger than the nose but still not great. There's a sweetness towards the end, the body is quite light bordering on thin but it was moderately carbonated & easy to drink without being great.

Pours a clear, golden coloration with a medium, fluffy head. Smells of doughy, slighty grainy malt and quite floral hops, with just a hint of herbal, citrus accents. Taste is a good balance of sweet'ish doughy, slightly grainy malt and quite floral, slightly herbal hops, with some hay and lime peel coming through as well. Finishes quite crisp, with a very light bitterness and some floral hops and lime peel lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a light body and medium carbonation.

While this is pretty good for a light lager, with a great balance of sweet malts and floral, slightly herbal citrus hops, it still is what it is, with a pretty light body and flavor profile. Crisp and semi-dry, with a light bitterness, this is sure is easy-drinking and refreshing, but still seriously lacking in flavor. I've done my best to rate this to style, but I'm not sure just how far you can take this style. I mean, sure, it's a lot better than Coors Light, but what does that really say? I can certainly see no reason to ever purchase this again over their excellent Pale Ales at a very similar ABV and price point.

Pours a clear yellow with thick, fluffy head.

Smell is grainy and bready with notes of floral hops and some honey.

Taste is crisp and bready, with a note of corn snacks floating around. Some floral hops and a hint of grassiness. Very, very easy to drink and thirst quenching.

Mouthfeel is thin to medium, with lively carbonation.

Overall, a really nice, crisp lager, perfect for days in the sun.
