a really tasty and bright brew, better than other hoppy ones i have had from these guys before, fresher tasting to me, and a little lighter too. its mosaic forward to me in the nose, hazy but not heavy, its overly effervescent, almost too carbonated, which i really dig in a lighter pale like this. the hops have a lot of character, oily and fresh, almost a wet hop complexion, with notes of peach and mango on top of the usual pineapple and limey notes from mosiac, that must be what they use. this has a wonderful soft texture too, more delicate and alive feeling than many of the heavy new england types, its not messy or starchy for the sake of it, its all in service of the hops, which are about as juicy as they get here. subtle passion fruit and mandarin orange here too, just a dab of bitterness at the end, and all the carbonation in the world, its explosive and i really like it, even if it slows me down just a little bit. id really like to get my lips on some more hoppy beers from these guys, its been hit or miss in my very limited experience, but it makes sense with the long voyage over. this one was special!
