This one-off Double Dry Hopped Pale Ale uses the same malt base as our signature DDH Pale but switches up the hops. It showcases crop year 2018 Citra and Mosaic, selected by us at source in Yakima, which proved to be the two most popular varieties to feature in our recent CY18 series of beers.

440 ml can from Colin. Hazy, milky pour, instant foamy head fades to flat. Tropical fruit aroma, melon. Taste is more sweet tropical fruit, mellow. Little to no bitterness. Juicy

Pours a hazy, orange coloration with a medium, fluffy head. Smells of light biscuity malt and citrus/tropical hop notes of tangerine, passion fruit, with just a hint of gooseberry. Taste is a great balance of light biscuity malt and citrus/tropical hops, with notes of tangerine and passion fruit, as well as some gooseberry and just a hint of pine coming through in the aftertaste. Finishes with a medium bitterness and some passion fruit, gooseberry and pine lingering in the aftertaste. Soft, pillowy mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
An excellent Pale Ale with an absolutely amazing mouthfeel for the style, as well as a great combination of vibrant, zesty and acidic hop notes of tangerine, passion fruit, gooseberry and pine. Never in a million years would you guess that this has less than 7% ABV in a blind tasting.

Smell is juicy and citrusy with notes of grass, melon and passionfruit.
Taste is juicy and very hoppy. Sligtly sweet with notes of citrus, grass, melon and apricot. Superbly balanced bitterness with pretty much zero hop burn.
Mouthfeel is medium, soft and pillowy, well carbonated.
Overall, a great APA, with the mouthfeel of a DIPA. Superb stuff.
