Advancements to our water treatment and yeast give this one-off Double IPA an incredibly soft, smooth body and rounded flavour profile, making it remarkably easygoing despite its strength. A blend of bold, hand selected hops from America and New Zealand provides an intriguing combination of floral high notes and a juicy fruit backbone.

Aroma & Flavour: Floral notes and green pear, with underlying flavours of honeydew melon and tangerine
Body: Full-bodied, soft and silky, low carbonation
Aftertaste: Notes of pine and juicy melon, with a touch of resinous bitterness

Pours a hazy, deep golden amber coloration with a medium, creamy head. Smells intensely of biscuity malt and vibrant citrus/tropical hops, with notes of grapefruit and papaya, as well as hints of gooseberry and pine. Taste is an excellent balance of slightly sweet, biscuity malt and bitter, slightly floral and resinous citrus/tropical hops, with notes of juicy mango and papaya, zesty grapefruit and tangerine, slightly acidic gooseberry and a good dose of pine coming through in the aftertaste. Finishes with a medium bitterness and some grapefruit, papaya, gooseberry and pine lingering in the aftertaste. Soft, pillowy, almost creamy mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.

A fantastic DIPA with quite a bold, vibrant flavor profile that sports quite an excellent balance of sweet malts and bitter hops, as well as an impressive array of sweet, zesty and lightly acidic fruit notes, with lighter floral, resinous notes rounding things out nicely. Not a hint of booze or overripe, overly sweet notes to this either, with an absolutely sublime, soft and pillowy mouthfeel as well.

Pours a hazy orange with a couple of fingers of dense, soft foam.

Smell is juicy and powerful, with huge notes of melon, honeydew and cantaloupe, mango and oranges. Some floral hints and a little bit of sweetness on the finish. Superb!

Taste is every bit as good as the nose. Huge, juicy and ridiculously balanced. Massive tropical notes of mango, honey dew melon, papaya, oranges, grapefruit and orange zest, with a soft but distinct bitterness. No sign of booze and zero hop burn. Perfection.

Mouthfeel is medium, soft, smooth and pillowy. Slightly low carbonation, but that was advertised on the can, so just as it was intended.

Overall, a truly world class beer. As most Cloudwater IPAs do, this straddles the line between NE and more traditional IPA perfectly, getting the best of both worlds.
