Distinctive New Zealand hop varietal Motueka is famous for producing incredibly bright flavours of fresh lime. We couldn't resist the chance to use one of our hand selected lots in a light, thirst-quenching Gose, the German style that blends sourness with salinity. Additions of lime juice and zest were used to ramp up the refreshment even further, creating a vibrant and eminently drinkable sour beer.
Aroma & Flavour: Freshly zested lime, followed by a burst of lime juice, with a light, supporting salinity
Body: Light with a restrained sourness and dry finish, spritzy carbonation
Aftertaste: Lime juice lingers into the finish, over a faint cracker malt base

Pours a hazy dark yellow with fine, soapy head.
Smell is tart with huge notes of lime and lime est, backed by a bit of salinity and minerals, with hints of grass and lemon.
Taste is lightly tart and terrifically refreshing. Notes of slightly sweet crackers leads the way for a huge, but soft wave of lime and lime zest. A little bit of salt balances things perfectly. Very easy to drink and envigorating.
Mouthfeel is thin and light with plenty of carbonation.
Overall, a very laid back Gose, close to the classics but still distinctly modern. Great stuff from Cloudwater as usual.
