West Coast DIPA.
Political parties write their manifestos not just to create a picture of our future that wins your votes, but to draw in wealthy sponsors from powerful places.
Who is pulling their strings? Who do parties have in mind with their proposals to change the course of government budgets, investment in our collective futures, and the rights of the UK’s citizens and workforce.
Are their ears bent by the people in your streets, or by powerful lobbyists, foreign powers, or multi-national corporations?

Pours a an almost clear, deep golden amber coloration with lots of very fine sediment suspended in the glass and a large, creamy head. Smells faintly of biscuity, caramel malt, grapefruit and resinous pine. Taste is a good balance of biscuity, caramel malt and quite bitter, resinous, but also slightly floral hops, with citrus notes of grapefruit and strong piney accents as well. Finishes with a strong bitterness and some grapefruit and pine lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
I will give this a pass because it's already 4 1/2 months old and is still drinking nicely enough for that, even though the balance seems a little off, with the hops feeling kinda washed out and the malts a little too prominent. Although this is still quite bitter and resinous, the fruity citrus notes seem to be falling by the wayside a little, with the hops also feeling a little more floral than they probably should be. There's also a light booziness to this which may have been masked better while fresh. Still an enjoyable WCIPA that was probably a lot better fresh, which is why I have adjusted scores upward a little.

Quite nice west coast IPA.
It's interesting to see that Cloudwater knows how to make bitter and aromatic double ipas. For those who were in doubt about that.
Very nice grapefruit and resinous character
