Feeling the bite of the British winter, we decided to riff on two classic styles typically best enjoyed when its cold outside. Combining the smooth, clean body and strength of a Baltic Porter with the rich malt profile and yeast aromatics from a traditional Brown Ale, this hybrid is multi-layered and remarkably full-flavoured without sitting heavy on the palate.
Aroma & Flavour: Tangy blackcurrant and plum followed by rich fruitcake, burnt toffee and dark chocolate, background roasted notes
Body: Full-bodied, sweet and smooth with a clean finish
Aftertaste: Brown toast, liquorice and lightly bitter dark chocolate

Pours a dark reddish brown, with thick, tan head.
Smell is fruity and malty with notes of fudge, coffee, dried fruit and a hint of leather. Slightly roasty.
Taste is roastier than the nose, but still quite fruity. Notes of fudge, coffee, leather, dried fruit and a hint of yeast. Soft bitterness and surprisingly light in texture.
Mouthfeel is medium, soft and velvety, with good carbonation.
Overall, a very nice and interesting winter beer. Warming and powerful, but still light and drinkable.
