Almost pitch black in appearance. Very dark tan head, that seems to have developed twice. Large bubbles that struggle to pop. Odd appearance. Smells of bitter dark chocolate and a hint of vanilla. Taste is the same, though not as swet as expected. Chocolaty bitterness is present. Feel is a bit too fizzy initially. Certainly good, but not the best I've had.

440ml can from Cloudwater Online Shop (£6.75):
A really thick & oily black with an opaque body & a large, 4cm foamy head that's light brown & takes eventually settles as a thin surface lacing that's very slightly patchy. Chocolate dominates the nose, there's some dark malts, caramel & a subtle vanilla sweetness with some coffee bitterness to finish. There's more of the coffee bitterness on the taste but the cocoa & dark chocolate malts still dominate, there's vanilla, darker fruits & fudge in there too with a boozy finish. It's full bodied & quite rich with a smooth feel & fine carbonation but the balance is good & it goes down well given the abv.

Pours a very dark brown motor oil with a mocha head
This all about chocolate alright. You can't deny that. Actually is more like a chocolate sauce with hins of vanilla than a complex imperial stout or such.
It's good but it lacks a certain complexity you can obtain with the use of real malts (this is definitely using a lot of maltodextrin).
Still a very enjoyable beverage, it hits you hard after a while
