Each edition of our Imperial Stout with Coffee is infused with a different variety of fruit-forward coffee. This time we were over the moon to be able to team up with local coffee shop Siop Shop, who recently turned their hand to roasting beans under the ace name SiopTEC.
For this addition, we added some special nitrogen-macerated beans from the Ratnagiri Estate in India. The result is a luxurious combination of Cherries, Almonds, and Vanilla, balancing the cacao to create a super unique experience.

Version VII. 11% ABV. 440ml can. Collaboration with SiopTEC.
L: Pours black with thick red/brown head that collapses quickly. Lacing is also red/brown. Very striking.
S: Coffee beans and expensive dark chocolate.
T: As above plus black cherry and treacle. Low bitterness but dry.
F: Thick and smooth and creamy.
O: Delicious but completely OTT by design. More like a liquid dessert than a beer. Tastes like an 11% chocolate mousse from a Danish Michelin star restaurant. 440ml is way too much for one person, so best shared.

This is a thick, frothy, sticky and delicious beer. It showcases coffee and cocoa aromas and flavors but the best thing about it is the mouth feel which is pure velvet. An amazing beer.
