Pours a clear yellow with soft, fine head.

Smell is crackery and a bit floral with notes of citrus, rye and some white bread.

Taste is crackery, clean and floral with notes of grapefruit, rye and hint os melon and kiwi. Crisp with a soft, well balanced bitterness. Slightly dry on the finish.

Mouthfeel is medium, slightly creamy and well carbonated.

Overall, a really nice lager, that I probably should have had a bit sooner.

Pours a clear, golden coloration with a large, foamy head and slightly visible carbonation. Smells of doughy malt and floral, herbal hops, with some citrus accents. Taste is an excellent balance of soft, doughy malt and floral, earthy, herbal and slightly resinous hops, with some distinct citrus accents of grapefruit and lime peel coming through, as well as just a hint of pine. Finishes quite crisp and clean, with a medium bitterness and some floral, herbal and citrussy notes lingering in the aftertaste, Effervescent mouthfeel with a light/medium body and strong carbonation.

While I usually can't stand Loral hops, I think they work rather well in a Modern Pilsner like this, being complemented very nicely by the Centennial and Columbus. While the Loral and Columbus brings those floral, earthy and herbal notes more in line with a traditional Pilsner, The Centennial adds some spritzy citrus accents and just a hint of resinous pine. While this is a rather modern, hoppy interpretation of the style, it still remains true to its traditional roots without turning into an IPL, with a nice, soft and doughy malt base as well as strong carbonation. Certainly the best Pilsner I ever had for my palate, think Rothaus Pils turned up to eleven.
