Pours a hazy, golden amber coloration with a medium, fluffy head. Smells of biscuity malt and citrus, tropical and berry hops, with notes of grapefruit, mango and white grape, Taste is an excellent balance of biscuity malt and juicy, bitter and resinous hops, with fruity citrus, tropical and berry notes of grapefruit, mango, white grape and just a hint of blueberry, as well as some pine. Finishes with a medium/strong bitterness and some grapefruit, mango and white grape lingering in the aftertaste. Soft mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
An excellent Pale Ale with a somewhat zesty and lighty acidic character from the citrus and white grape notes, complemented nicely by lighter sweet tropical accents and soft malts, as well as a great, lightly resinous bitterness in the finish and a very nice, rather soft mouthfeel for the style. This kinda reminds me of a New England style Pale Ale with a dash of West Coast character and encapsulates everything that makes Cloudwater brews, especially their lower ABV beers, so special. From the the great harmony of sweet, fruity and bitter, resinous elements to the vivid, expressive hop character and rich body and mouthfeel for the style.
