This is all about rich, ripe hop flavours, showcasing two of our hand selected varietals that are particularly bright and bold. The blend of sweet, intense tropical fruits and herbal dankness in Strata is a perfect partner for Motueka’s super-fresh citrus profile.

2 months old. Can to IPA glass.
Look: Pours a hazy yellow with a thick head leaving a bit of lacing. No floaters visible.
Smell: Hoppy and citrusy. Hints of pineapple.
Taste: Strong notes of tropical fruits. Mainly ripe pineapple. Also mango and orange. Pretty sweet. Zesty, slightly dry finish.
Feel: Thick and juicy. Full and sticky. Low carbonation.
Overall: Tastes like a TIPA, feels like a TIPA - nice example of the style. Very full and aromatic. Rather on the sweet side, but not over the edge. Not as good as The Realest, but still a very good beer.

Pours a hazy, bright orange coloration with a medium, fluffy, lasting head. Smells of biscuity malt and citrus/tropical hops, with notes of passion fruit and lime, as well as a certain dankness also coming through. Taste is an excellent balance of biscuity malt and fruity, juicy, dank hops, with citrus and tropical notes of passion fruit, papaya, grapefruit and lime, as well as a distinct, herbal dankness. Finishes with a light bitterness and some passion fruit, lime and herbal weed lingering in the aftertaste. Soft, pillowy mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
Another very impressive TIPA from Cloudwater with intense and vibrant hop notes, but no overbearing booziness or sweetness at all. In fact in feels kind of dry, which is no doubt due to the strong zestiness, and while there is a very light booziness in the finish, it's hardly noticeable. This is a real treat for me, as it's brewed with two of my favorite hop varities, which both show through here in all their glory. Motueka with those vibrant, zesty citrus notes and Strata with that intense passion fruit and dank weed character. Body and mouthfeel are excelelnt here as well, making for an incredibly enjoyable hop bomb with none of the drawbacks that many TIPAs suffer from.

Pours a murky orange with fine, soapy head.
Smell is juicy and fruity with notes of elderflower, orange and mango, and a bit of sweetness.
Taste is juicy and intense, but still well balanced. Notes of orange, grapefruit, mango, melon and papaya with som dank sweetness and well hidden alcohol. Moderate bitterness and some warming alcohol, before a pretty dry finish.
Mouthfeel is mediunm to full, chewy and smooth, well carbonated.
Overall, a terrific TIPA, intense but not overpowering. Awesom texture as well.
