Copenhagen 7/5 2026. 44 cl can fro A Good Case web-shop. Blue can with Cloudwater's logo and the name of the beer in silver and the small checkers associated with Oktoberfest in Germany.

Pours clear golden amber with a mid-sized white head. Stable. Settles as a 1 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.

Aroma is medium intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with a bit of citrus fruit and a sharp scent of alcohol. Sweet pale malts and bread. Lemon. Grains. Metallic alcohol.

Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lively and tingling texture.

Flavor is medium intense with a light sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Salty tang. Aftertaste is crisp and bitter. Lingers for a bit, Finish is rather dry.

Nice crisp take on a German Festbier.

440ml can.
L: Clear, dark amber colour with a finger of creamy, off-white head that leaves an arc of lacing.
S: Sweet, woody and malty.
T: Cedar, marmalade and spicy honey. Low bitterness.
F: Medium body, rich & oily mouthfeel.
O: A total malt fest. Big & bold flavours and a lush mouthfeel. A tad too rich to be properly refreshing but hugely enjoyable on an Autumn evening in late September.

Pours a slightly cloudy, golden coloration with a large, foamy head and slightly visible carbonation. Smells of doughy, slightly grainy malt and grassy, slightly floral hops, with a hint of hay also coming through. Taste follows the nose, with a good balance of doughy, slightly grainy malt and grassy, slightly floral hops, with hints of hay and citrus also coming through. Finishes pretty crisp, with a light bitterness and some doughy malt and grassy, citrus hops lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a light body and medium carbonation.

This makes for a decent Festbier with a good balance of malt and hops and a fairly traditional feel to it despite the light citrus accents for a modern touch. I could have done with just a tad of a firmer malt backbone though, while it seems pretty light for the style as well, with the body almost feeling a bit watery. It's obviously a Festbier rather than a Märzen, but still think it could have done with a bit of a firmer malt presence and body, while it remains a perfectly enjoyable and very quaffable example of the style.

Pours a clear light amber with soft foam, and tons of lacing.

Smell is malty and floral with notes of citrus, rye, crackers and some sweetness. Very crisp.

Taste is clean and crisp with a slight malty sweetness. Floral and citrusy with hints of peppery rye and a moderate bitterness.

Mouthfeel is medium, with bright carbonation.

Overall, a very nice Festbier, modern but not too modern.
