Formerly known as Dank Is Short For Danke.
A double-dank double IPA made with the dankest of dank hops.
This is the third in a series of beers exploring dankness, featuring dank hops.
Dank is an abbreviation of Danke, and in English it means “thank goodness there are hops that smell like armpits, cat wee you kinda want to drink, weed, and cumin, underpinned by juicy fruit flavours.”

Copenhagen 15/9 2022. 44 cl can from Kihoskh, Sønder Boulevard, Kbh. V. As Double Dank DIPA. Forest-like can with mossy trunks and dark green colors.
Pours opaque hazy, slightly dirty, golden yellow with a mid-sized white head. Settles as thin, flimsy and patchy layer of foam unable of covering the surface the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with sweet fermented and a bit boozy and fruity odor mingling with subtle citrus fruit. Mango and passion fruit. Boozy sweet scent. Grapefruit and citrus. Subdued.Hints of peroleum
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a fairly strong sweetness followed by a medium strong citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a notable sweet and boozy undertone. LIngers for a while. Finish is rather dry.
Potent with a nice touch of alcohol without getting boozy.

Pours a hazy, dark orange coloration with a large, fluffy head. Smells of light biscuity malt and tropical/citrus/stone fruit hops, with notes of passion fruit, grapefruit and peach as well as some dank and herbal weed. Taste is an excellent balance of light biscuity malt and fruity, juicy, dank, slightly herbal and earthy hops, with tropical, citrus, stone fruit and berry notes of passion fruit, lychee, grapefruit, peach and gooseberry, as well as distinct herbal, spicy weed. Finishes with a medium bitterness and some passion fruit, papaya, grapefruit and weed lingering in the aftertaste. Soft mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
Yes, I've copied and pasted the first part of this review from Double Dank DDH IPA just because the flavor profiles are so similar to me here, with the differences mainly lying in the balance. This actually feels a bit less dank than the single version, but more juicy, with the tropical and stone fruit notes standing out more and the citrus and berry notes a little less, while I'm getting a bit more blueberry than gooseberry from this as well. Hardly a hint of the higher ABV to this, not feeling boozy at all, but a bit more intense and less well-defined, a typical effect of imperial IPAs to me. I cxouldn't pick a favorite of the two, while they are a little different, they sure both are great in their own way, two of the finest IPAs I've ever tasted.

Pours a hazy light orange with soft, fluffy head.
Smell is juicy and dank with notes of tangerine, melon, gooseberries and some sweetness.
Taste is juicy, dank and intense, but still bright and crisp. Notes of melon, orange juice, mango and pineapple. Moderate bitterness and a bit of sweetness on the finish. Cloudwater at their very best.
Mouthfeel is medium, smooth, soft and pillowy with good carbonation.
Overall, an amazing beer. Cloudwater are the masters of these hybrid IPAs.

Pours a hazy turbid darker shade of orange with a two finger frothy head. Smells of piney mango and orange. Tasting a strong dank resinous pine up front with overarching citrus and floral hops. Somewhat sweet. Very juicy and smooth. Nicely balanced overall.

440ml Can from Curious Liquids, Glasgow (£6.75):
Really thick looking & opaque golden colour that's topped with a foamy, creamy white head that holds well & leaves plenty lacing on the sides. It's fruity & dank on the nose with tropical notes including plenty of mango, citrus & peach then a mix of floral hops & pineapple to finish. The taste is strong & dank too, floral hops with some pineapple, mango & citrus again come through with a lot of grapefruit & resinous pine too. It's very juicy, hoppy & smooth with a medium to full body & well-carbonated citrus tang at the end.
