Pours a hazy, orange coloration with a medium, fluffy head. Smells of biscuity malt and citrus/tropical hops, with notes of mango, papaya and orange, as well as some grassy accents. Taste is a good balance of biscuity malt and fruity, slightly grassy hops, with citrus and tropical notes of mango, papaya and orange, as well as a distinct grassiness that increases towards the finish. FInishes with a light bitterness and some mango, orange and grass lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
While Cloudwater has made some of my highest rated Pale Ales, I was never that impressed with their signature offering, to be honest. From memory and comparison to my review of their standard signature Pale Ale, this is actually a good improvement, not feeling quite as grassy and harsh, although that grassiness and very light chalkiness is still there and the hops, which do bring some nice citrus and tropical notes, are not exactly popping all that expressively. This may be due to age though, as this is just over a week past the "fresh by" threshold. Overall, this makes for an enjoyable Pale Ale with a good body and mouthfeel for the ABV that just doesn't quite reach the lofty heights of some of their one-offs. I have adjusted my score slighty upwards to make up for its age.

440ml can from Cloudwater Online Shop (£3.50):
Pale amber & slightly hazy, topped with a thin, bubbly white surface lacing that's slightly patchy in the centre. The nose is light pine & citrus with subtle tropical notes & melon, its slightly more pronounced with the taste; more pine & citrus coming through with some mango to finish. Its pleasant, balanced & goes down well but the low alcohol makes it a little light towards the end.
