We invited members of the UK Beer and Brewing Professionals group to participate in this collaborative brew. This juicy, modern Pale Ale is a celebration of those who are pioneering new inlets for women and non-binary folk in beer and brewing. We look forward to a future where all people, regardless of their gender, can step confidently into roles throughout the industry. To quote Ruth Bader Ginsberg, ‘women belong in all places where decisions are being made’. We think that includes beery decisions too.

Pours a hazy, bright orange coloration with a small, fluffy head. Smells of light biscuity malt and tropical/citrus hops, with notes of mango, pineapple and grapefruit. Taste is an excellent balance of light biscuity malt and fruity, juicy, slightly dank and herbal hops, with tropical and citrus notes of mango, papaya, pineapple, grapefruit and lime peel, as well as just a hint of herbal weed. Finishes with a light bitterness and some mango, pineapple, grapefruit and herbal weed lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a light/medium body and carbonation.

This makes for a very nice, quite juicy New England Pale Ale with a good balance of sweet tropical and zesty citrus notes, as well as some slightly dank and herbal accents. While it's a bit too sweet and juicy for my personal taste, the slightly dank and bitter accents balances this out well enough, although the body and mouthfeel could be better here by the very high standards that Cloudwater have set for this style in particular. Overall, this makes for a very enjoyable NEPA that just isn't particularly impressive by Cloudwater's standards for the style though. Perhaps a case of too many cooks spoiling the broth?

Pours a hazy orange with soapy head.

Smell is juicy and fruity with notes of melon, gooseberries, grapes, grape skins, grass and citrus.

Taste is juicy and crisp with nice fruitiness. Notes of melon, grapes, grass, citrus and hints of minerals and peach skins. Soft bitterness, very hard to not just pound down.

Mouthfeel is medium, soft, pillowy and well carbonated.

Overall, a fantastic APA, so full of flavor and hard to put down.

440ml can from Cloudwater Online Shop (£3.37):
Pale yellow with a thin, foamy white surface lacing & a touch more build up at the sides. It's fresh & zesty on the nose with lemon, citrus & pineapple; pine & floral notes with a tiny bit of coconut round things off. The taste is similar with citrus, pine & sweet tropical fruits including the pineapple from the nose. It's zesty & lively with some orange, lemon & grapefruit but it seems a little weak towards the end. It's well-carbonated & tangy with a tiny bit of hop bitterness later in too.
