Some things are just meant to go together. And once you've experienced the sublime marriage of hand-selected Motueka and Sabro in this Double IPA, you'll wonder how one could ever exist without the other.

Pours a hazy, milky orange coloration with a medium, fluffy head. Smells intensely of light biscuity malt and tropical, citrus hops, with notes of coconut and lime, as well as some herbal, minty accents. Taste is an excellent balance of light biscuity malt and fruity, juicy, slighty herbal hops, with quite vibrant tropical and citrus notes of coconut, lime and orange, with some light accents of mint and lemongrass as well. Finishes with a light bitterness and some coconut, lime and minty accents lingering in the aftertaste. Soft, pillowy mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
While I'm not actually a huge fan of Sabro hops and those coconut notes, I think that the Motueka is a great pairing here, for that "lime in the coconut" feel. It also really needs to be said that the sheer intensity and vibracy of the hop aromatics is absolutely amazing here, with those coconut and lime notes of Sabro and Motueka really standing out incredibly expressive and well-defined, without a hint of booziness or overripe feel to this, while the mouthfeel is quite soft and pillowy as well. Overall, there is a great balance of sweet coconut and quite zesty lime to this, with some light herbal accents making things a little bit more interesting as well. An outstanding beer from one of the top makers of the style in the world right now, that really hammered home just how amazing Cloudwater are once again to me.

Pours a murky light orange with soapy head.
Smell is juicy and fruity with notes of pineapple, coconut, lime, lemon sorbet and lemon peel.
Taste is textbook Cloudwater DIPA, powerful and intense, but still soft and subtle. Notes of pineapple, lime, coconut, orange and orange zest. Some floral and spicy hints with a soft but distinct bitteress. Clean and impeccably balanced.
Mouthfeel is medium, soft, pillowy and smooth with good carbonation.
Overall, another world class DIPA from the masters.
