Pours a hazy, orange coloration with a medium, fluffy head. Smells of light biscuity malt and tropical/citrus hops, with notes of coconut and lime, as well as hints of mint. Taste is an excellent balance of light biscuity malt and fruity, herbal hops, with tropical and citrus notes of coconut and lime, as well as distinct lemongrass and mint. Finishes with a very light bitterness and some coconut, lime and mint lingering in the aftertaste. Soft mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.

While I'm not a huge fan of Sabro hops, the combination of Sabro and Motueka really works out great here, for that "lime in the coconut" feel, while the Sabro hops also have that distinct minty touch to them that doesn't always come through and fits in very well with the overall flavor profile here, along with some more subtle lemongrass. While I may not be a huge fan of that flavor profile myself and also think that this a little too sweet overall, this still makes for a brew with a very unique and rather vibrant hop profile to it that is rather enjoyable if you like that kind of thing.

Smell is fruity, almost a bit tart. Notes of citrus, pineapple, coconut and melon.

Taste is fruity with tart hint. Notes of lime, orange, coconut, pineapple and lemongrass. Soft bitterness with a dry finish.

Mouthfeel is medium, soft and pillowy with good carbonation.

Overall, a very good NE IPA with distinct Sabro notes.

440ml can. Hazy orange with a full and creamy head. Pineapple, coconut, lime and mint. Fresh and zesty with super smooth mouthfeel and bone dry finish. Amazing NEIPA. Like a piña colada/key lime pie mash-up (except better, cos it’s beer not dessert). Top drawer from Cloudwater.
