As if two simultaneous collaborations with Highland Park wasn't enough, we've now taken this partnership to the next level. Our buddies from LA have sent us the four lots of Strata they used in their version of our collab, Side By Side, and we brewed a DIPA to bring out the best in them.

Pours a hazy, orange coloration with a large, fluffy head. Smells of biscuity malt and tropical/citrus hops, with notes of passion fruit and grapefruit, as well as some dankness coming through. Taste is an excellent balance of biscuity malt and fruity, juicy, dank and slightly herbal hops, with strong tropical and lighter citrus notes of passion fruit, papaya and grapefruit, as well as distinct, dank and herbal weed. Finishes with a light/medium bitterness and some passion fruit, grapefruit and dank weed lingering in the aftertaste. Soft, pillowy mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
Another excellent single-hop IPA from Cloudwater that really brings out Strata in all its glory. This is very much dominated by vibrant tropical fruit and dankness, although there is a certain citrus presence here as well that I didn't really expect from Strata, to be honest, as well as a certain herbal quality to the dankness. It's always fascinating to discover new nuances in a single-hopped beer that you never really got from that hop variety before, or attributed to other hop varieties used in the same beer. Great body and mouthfeel to this as well, very full and pillowy.

Pours a hazy light orange with thick, soft head.
Smell is juicy with a hint of earthiness. Notes of citrus, mango, nectarine, grass and some dank melon.
Taste is jicy and dank with the same hint of earthiness. Notes of citrus, mango, melon, white wine, grass and hints of gooseberries and diesel. Moderate bitterness and a slight bozziness.
Mouthfeel is perfect. Soft, pillowy and well carbonated.
Overall, another top level DIPA from the masters.
