Our homage to the European strong lagers that became a hallmark of the British beer scene in the 1980s, this is a blend of Helles Bock, lagered in a red wine barrel for six months, with fresh Pilsner. Smooth, clean and classic.

Pours a fairly clear orange with massive, dense head.
Smell is malty and crisp with notes of crackers, citrus, rye and some floral hints. Some slight hints of wood and red wine as well.
Taste is malty, crisp and floral. Notes of citrus, crackers, rye, wood, red wine, honey and some sweetness. Some spiciness and a moderate bitterness.
Mouthfeel is medium, smooth and well carbonated.
Overall, a great, quite unique beer.
