Modelled on a pub classic, this Light Lager was conditioned for four months in a red wine barrel with Brettanomyces. Prior to bottling, it received additions of lime juice and salt, along with a restrained dry hop of Motueka and Sabro. Crisp, effervescent and thirst-quenching.

Pours a hazy pale yellow with fluffy head.
Smell is tart and crisp with massive notes of lime. Quite vinous with bretty and floral hints.
Taste is tart with a solid kick of lime and lime zest. Some peppery brett and notes of sparkling wine and oak with some floral hints and a soft bitterness on the finish. Quite vinous and dry with a slight saltiness for balance. Extremely refreshing.
Mouthfeel is medium with effervescent carbonation.
Overall, a really hard beer to put your finger on and rate. It has very few lager-like qualities, instead coming across as a barrel aged sour. It is damn tasty, no matter what you call it.
