Pours a hazy, orange coloration with a medium, fluffy head. Smells of biscuity malt and tropical/citrus hops, with notes of coconut, passion fruit and grapefruit, as well as hints of dankness. Taste is an excellent balance of biscuity malt and fruity, juicy, slightly dank, herbal and spicy hops, with strong tropical and lighter citrus notes of coconut, passion fruit and grapefruit, as well as some herbal, peppery weed. Finishes with a medium bitterness and some coconut, grapefruit and peppery weed lingering in the aftertaste. Soft, pillowy mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
While this may not be quite to my personal taste, not being a huge fan of Sabro hops, it nevertheless makes for yet another exceptional TIPA from Cloudwater, with some incredibly vibrant and well-defined hop notes and great mouthfeel. While the Sabro hops may dominate just a tad, with some really distinct coconut notes, the passion fruit and dank vibes of the Strata hops are coming through clearly here as well, making for a very interesting flavor profile, although I would have personally wished for it to be the other way around.
