Collaboration with Rock Leopard Brewing Co., 2nd Shift Brewing, The Queer Brewing Project.
Reign Or Shine is a release that carries with it heavy significance. Brewed in collaboration with Blaq&soul, 2nd Shift Brewing, Queer Brewing and Rock Leopard Brewing it intends to show solidarity with the Black trans community.
Black trans people are among the world’s most marginalised, and many are in constant survival mode due to disproportionate rates of discrimination, poverty, and violence. By working with BlaQ & Soul on this project, we hope to be able to raise awareness of their struggle and raise money that can contribute directly to helping them reign or shine. As such, all profits from our release will be donated to UK Black Pride and Black Trans Foundation.

Copenhagen 30/9 2021. 44 cl can from Kihoskh, Sdr. Blvd., Kbh. V. A colorful crowd on the can some holding placards.
Pours opaque, dark brown with a light beige head. Fairly stable. Settles as thin, but consistent layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. No lacing to speak of.
Aroma is medium intense and seems pretty light for the style. Sweet odor of dark malts mingling with a bit of roastiness. Dark roasted malts, toffee and chocolate. Sourish, earthy scent peeking in.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, slightly greasy, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly more moderate sourish bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. Lingers for a while. Finish is dry like dark chocolate.
Pretty light and quite dry Stout.

Pours a deep, dark brown coloration with a large, creamy head. Smells of roasted, caramel malt, chocolate, dark/red fruits, with notes of raisin, plum and cranberry, as well as hints of coffee and licorice. Taste is an excellent balance of roasted, caramel malt and distinct chocolate and dark fruit notes, as well as lighter coffee and red berries, with notes of raisin, plum and cranberry, as well as hints of licorice, tobacco and bitter, herbal hops. Finishes with a medium bitterness and some chocolate, dark fruit and hints of licorice and bitter hops lingering in the aftertaste. Full mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
This makes for an excellent, dry, bitter and roasted Stout with distinct fruity accents as well, that feels incredibly rich and full-bodied for its ABV. There's a great balance to all the different elements here, with an impressive underlying complexity that really belies this single-strength brew. There are hints of sweetness from the caramel malts and dark fruits here, but the roasted malts and bitter hops reign this in very nicely, making for a very enjoyable brew that's quite rich in character without feeling overly heavy.
