This hazy Pale Ale was fermented with a clean West Coast yeast to provide wonderful Nelson Sauvin hops with plenty of space in which to express themselves. We adore the aromatics of tropical fruit, citrus and grape, this famous New Zealand hop can provide.

Pours a hazy, orange coloration with a medium, fluffy head. Smells of light biscuity malt and berry/citrus hops, with notes of white grape and gooseberry, as well as just a hint of lime peel. Taste is an excellent balance of light biscuity malt and fruity, juicy, slightly grassy hops, with strong berry and lighter citrus and tropical notes of white grape gooseberry, lime peel and passion fruit. Finishes with a light bitterness and some white grape, gooseberry and lime peel lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a light/medium body and medium carbonation.
This makes for a great New England/Zealand Pale Ale that really shows off Nelson Sauvin in all of its glory. with those typical white grape and gooseberry notes standing out quite vibrantly here, but with hints of citrus and tropical fruit as well. A little light-bodied, perhaps, but really not too bad for the style and with a really nice mouthfeel. Feels, quite spritzy, refreshing and easy-drinking, yet flavorful, making for the perfect summer beer.
