Inspired by Vanessa Atalanta, our much-loved Triple IPA from late 2020, this Double IPA blends the juicy stone fruit and pungent pine provided by Idaho 7 with Motueka's beautifully bright, zesty lemon and lime.

440 ml can, from Vinmonopolet Kvadrat. ABV is 8.0%. Murky yellow colour, moderate white head. Aroma of citrus, yellow stonefruits and tropical fruits, followed by less pleasant hints of onions, cooked vegetables and sweat. Medium sweet flavour of said fruits, pine needles in the finish, moderate bitterness.

3 months old. Can to IPA glass.
Look: Pours a hazy light yellow with a pillowy white head that lasts quite long and leaves a good amount of lacing. No floaters.
Smell: Sweet tropical fruits meeting ripe citrus fruits. Tangerine and grapefruit on the one hand, mango and guava on the other. Some dank and biscuity notes are also in the mix.
Taste: The tropical and citrusy notes dominating the beer's smell can also clearly be tasted. They are complemented by grassy flavours and hints of biscuit and peach. An intense, almost TIPA-like sweetness is nicely balanced by a zesty and bitter finish.
Feel: Full and creamy with a medium carbonation.
Overall: Great DIPA, quintessentially Cloudwater. Very flavorful and aromatic with a lovely balance of sweet and bitter notes. Almost as intense as a (good) TIPA, yet so smooth and drinkable. Great showcase of the Motueka variety. No weaknesses.

Pours a hazy, bright orange coloration with a huge, creamy head. Smells of light biscuity malt and tropical/citrus/stone fruit notes of guava, lime and peach. Taste is an excellent balance of light biscuity malt and fruity, juicy, slightly floral, herbal and dank hops, with tropical, citrus and lighter stone fruit notes of mango, guava, lime and peach, as well as hints of grassy weed. Finishes with a light bitterness and some guava, lime and peach lingering in the aftertaste. Soft mouthfeel with amedium body and carbonation.
Another excellent NEIPA from Cloudwater, this one being dominated by zesty citrus, somewhat acidic tropical and sweet stone fruit notes, with some floral, herbal and dank accents balancing things out and providing a more interesting flavor profile, finishing with a good bitterness and great, soft mouthfeel. I love Motueka hops and those zesty like notes certainly come through very distinctly here, making for a very enjoyable example of the style that doesn't feel overly sweet or boozy at all.

Pours a hazy light orange with thick, fluffy head.
Smell is juicy and a bit sweet. Notes of apricot, peach, citrus, gooseberries and grapes with some earthy, herbal and grassy hints.
Taste is juicy and sweet with some herbal hints. Notes of apricot, peach, citrus, citrus peel, gooseberries and some dank, grassy and floral hints. Soft, but distinct bitterness. Intense and powerful, but still bright and crisp.
Mouthfeel is medium, soft, pillowy and chewy with good carbonation.
Overall, once again Cloudwater combine power with finesse like no other brewery.
