Classic Heritage Styles From Manchester.

A robust yet refined stout featuring complex roasted malt flavours of berries, honeycomb, and liquorice.

JW Lees first brewed their Stout, Manchester Star, in 1884. It’s an honour for us to be able to use their house yeast – a culture that’s thousands of generations old - to brew our own Stout as a nod to Star. Our take on an export stout adds a subtle sweetness to temper the alcohol, giving hints of dark fruit and chocolate when allowed to warm a little.

Turning our hands to the classics is our way of saying thanks to trailblazing breweries for the part they played in the rich history of British brewing.

440ml can.
L: Glossy black with ruby edges and one finger of mocha head that collapses to a cap with a single ring of lacing. Gorgeous colour.
S: Coffee cream chocolate.
T: A Cadbury Roses Strawberry Dream chocolate plus filter coffee and licorice. Low bitterness, some sweetness.
F: Incredibly soft & smooth mouthfeel.
O: A fantastic (higher ABV) English stout. Amazing toasted malt flavours: not harsh or burned; full of red berry and coffee and cocoa. Proper good.
