Dolcita (HBC 1019) is a brand-new hop from Yakima, first crossed in 2016 and released in 2025. Bursting with flavours of peach rings, ripe melon, and tropical fruit with a touch of citrus, it delivers a juicy sweetness balanced by a clean, modern bitterness. With its vibrant character and fresh history, Dolcita is already making its mark as an exciting new hop for contemporary IPAs and pale ales.

L: Opaque, orange/yellow with one finger of cream head that leaves arcs of lacing.
S: Lots of citrus aroma plus a green pepper undertone.
T: Citrusy and vinous. Pretty amazing.
F: Full body, rich mouthfeel, super smooth.
O: What an amazing hop! Not had this before. Not at all dank but incredibly earthy and green as well as super citrusy and loaded with soft tropical fruit.

Pours a hazy light orange with soft, soapy head.
Smell is juicy and a bit sweet with notes of peach candy, peach syrup, melon, tangerine and pineapple with some peppery hints.
Taste is juicy, hoppy and intense, but still bright and drinkable. Notes of peach candy, melon, peach syrup, pineapple, lemongrass, tangerine and grapes. Soft but distinct bitterness and perfect balance.
Mouthfeel is medium, creamy, soft and pillowy with good carbonation.
Overall, an utterly fantastic IPA, showcasing how good Cloudwater are at combining intense hoppiness with superb moreishness. A masterclass.
