Copenhagen 18/1 2020. 33 cl bottle from Mad & Vin, Magasin, Kbh. K. Windswept’s usual design with the big “W” and symmetric design in dark blue.

Pours unclear, orange-ish yellow with a big, dense white head. Settles as frothy, lumpy crown of foam covering the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Massive lacing.

Aroma is medium-intense, fruity-sweet with citric and metallic notes. Light odor of peach and pear. Lemon and grape fruit. Light metallic notes.

Medium carbonation. Slightly thick, pleasantly prickly texture.

Flavor is medium sweet followed by a stronger citric bitterness. Aftertaste is medium bitter with a light sweet undercurrent. Lingers for a bit. Semi-dry finish.

Gentle and pleasant single hop IPA.

330 ml bottle conditioned. L040, from Aberdeen Country Fair. ABV is 6.2%. Deep golden to orange colour, slightly hazy. Large to moderate white head. Nice fruity aroma of Amarillo hops. Fruity flavour too, well hopped throughout, decent bitterness.

Amarillo IPA
L4 Amber, rather than light gold normally seen in American style IPAs. Excellent foamy head.
S4.25 Oranges
T3.5 Hints of orange, bitterness there but lacking flavour
F3.25 Good carbonation, but very watery mouthfeel
O3.75 Looks great. Taste below average for a 6.2% IPA

Pours dark honey coloured into a tulip glass. Offwhite head is high and wispy leaving behind chunky lacing.

Aroma is vegetative bitters with a hint of piney wood and rubber. Not entirely pleasant.

The flavour is thankfully not the same with more of a focus on a woody hop character, pine and lemongrass. There's a maltiness on the backend and a more of those vegetable bitters on the aftertaste.

Feel is light to medium with normal carbonation.

Overall pretty average.
