Cask half pint at The Justice Mill (JDW), Aberdeen. 6.0% ABV. Dark brown colour, beige head. Moderate but nice aroma, hints of chocolate and chili. LOADS of chili in the flavour, nearly too much, burning mouthfeel, on a background of smooth and fairly sweet malts with some chocolate and caramel.

From a 330ml bottle.
L: Very dark brown with an amber core. Several streams of small bubbles visible when held to the light. Thin, off-white head that retains a decent cap.
S: Rich, sweet, smokey caramel.
T: Rich and smooth malt base. Sweet. Very little bitterness. Very long lasting chilli burn.
F: Medium to light body. Little carbonation. Smooth.
O: The added chilli dominates this beer. It builds over a few mouthfulls to block out all other tastes. It's not hot so much as overpowering. This is the point of course but I would like to try the base brew, Wolf, to try what I suspect is an excellent, rich Scottish ale but without the chilli.
