A witbier mashed with Pale Malt, Flaked Wheat and Flaked Oats. During the boil we added just a smidgen of coriander and bitter orange peel. Hopped with EKG & Tettnang, but the secret to this beer is the generous amount of raspberry puree is was conditioned on. Don't let the pinkish, red hue of the beer fool you, it is not super sweet. It is the perfect combination of sweet and slightly tart, all while retaining the yeast character of a witbier.

My sixth entry in/of New Tying Up Loose Ends Beer Sunday (Week 759) loops us back to Week 718 & starts out with a problem child. It had pooched up on its lid before I noticed it & threw it into the reefer to cirCANvent further problems. 8={}

From the CAN: "From Barn to Brewery"; "Find Our Story at Stable12.com"; "Handcrafted and Brewed [in] Phoenixville, PA"; "Please Recycle"; "A Witbier with a little something extra, Razzle Dazzle has been conditioned on heaps of raspberry purée and flavored with coriander and bitter orange peel during the boil. Don't let its blush hue fool you, this beer is the perfect combination of sweet and tart, with all the character of a hearty witbier."

I Crack!ed open the vent with a modicum of difficulty due to its pooching, but I am an expert at this sort of thing so I got 'er done. Next up was some in-CAN agitation followed by a heavy-handed, aggro C-Line Glug, all in the name of getting everything that may have flocculated back into suspension. It foamed mightily, finally settling into two-plus fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, pinkish head that resembled freshly-spun cotton CANdy! 8=O Color was a cloudy Magenta (bump "blush" & SRM = N/A). Nose smelled abfab, like my late paternal grandmother's backyard in the Summer, when her rose bush & her raspberry bush were both in full bloom! Yeah, the place was a bee magnet, but it smelled deelish & we made a LOT of stuff with those raspberries from desserts to preserves. Yum! Mouthfeel was medium, big for a Witbier. The taste was all red raspberry, slightly tart, slightly sweet, but totally refreshing. Mmm. Finish was tart, dry & very thirst quenching, I would simply caution you to keep this one cold. YMMV.

Stable 12 Brewing Co. "Razzle Dazzle"
on tap at the brewery on 1 April 2017
$6 / pint

Look: Pink/ruby in color beneath a pinkish head. Limited head retention and lacing.
Smell: Fruity, red raspberry aroma over light malt.
Taste: Some spiciness reveals its witbier base. Balanced, somewhat tart and somewhat sweet. Dry, fruity finish.
Feel: Crisp with a light-medium body.
Overall: Very nicely done. Refreshing, easy to drink, and enjoyable.
