Well, par for my course, I added the beer; I took, resized & submitted the approved pic & then I promptly got distracted by other beers & forgot this one. 8=( Yesterday was the ocCANsion of New Beer Sunday (Week 718) & I primarily focused on Lagers. When I finished my original mission, I decided that Lagers were like potato chips - it is hard to stop at just one (or a few) so I scoured for any Lagers, Bottle or CAN, currently in abeyance & found enough to finally satiate me (perhaps). The CANQuest (tm) approves!
From the CAN: "Handcrafted and Brewed [in] Phoenixville, PA".
I was anxious to Crack! open the vent on this CAN until I heard Sgt. Nick Fury yell, "Whaddya, some kinda Lager slurper?!? Get onna ball, kid! We got us a war to fight!" Eh, I paid him the same attention that I gave to so many others during my Navy career & proceeded smartly. I employed a gentle, C-Line Glug so as not to draw any more attention than I already had. I was awarded just over a finger of dense, foamy, rocky, tawny head with decent retention that left nice lacing in its wake. Color was a gorgeous Deep Amber/Light Copper to Copper (SRM = > 13, < 17) with NE-quality clarity, about the shade of the doll's hair that I was hooked up with back in England. Nose had a malty sweetness that was pleasant, not overly sweet, about the way that I like 'em. Mouthfeel was medium but solid for a Lager. The taste had a nutty sweetness, but not so sweet as to be cloying. This was mighty easy to slurp, I mean drink, since it was balanced with just a kiss of the hops. Finish landed in that no-man's-land between semi-dry & semi-sweet & I was in no hurry to get it extracted. We're under heavy fire here on this beachhead & yer on yer own!
