Excellent head production and retention. Body is surprisingly dark, a brownish amber hue with reddish highlights. Body is fairly close to opaque, allowing only shadows through, but it does not look pulpy or thick.
Nice blend on the nose of juicy hops, cream, and berries. Bright Italian herbs, mandarin orange, lemon, honey, cream, strawberries, blueberries, brown sugar, mild dankness, orange creamsicle.
Much more dank immediately on the palate, although it is tempered with berry and maple sweetness - the latter more prominent later in the sip. Orange, lemon, and bright herbs are also present up front, moving toward sticky resin in the second third.
Crisp and lively, with quite a bit of bite up front. Smooth. It seems to have a moderate level of bitterness, but that is mostly washed away by the sweetness. That said, it's not overly sweet by any means; the balance is lovely. I was concerned the berries might come across too strong, but that's not the case, either. All of the additives in this case really work well with the hop blend, and the overall result is quite pleasant.
