On tap at brewery:
Looks the part, with a very pale yellow/gold body with a fair amount of haze. Head wasn’t too strong, and medium collar left nothing behind.
Ode and taste have a decent representation from the wheat, something I think a lot of beers in the style miss. Coriander comes as an dull earthy note on the nose, but with a little more pop in the taste. Salinity is light, as is the sour aspect. Nothing noted in the nose, there’s a light lime-like sour in the taste.
This offering showcases different aspects of a Gose than the sour. I like that, but the components just didn’t all work as much as I’d thought they would. I think just a little more tartness could’ve done the trick to bring it all together.
