2019 release. Poured from 22 oz. bottle into a Silk City commemorative glass. It pours a deep walnut - almost black - with a large, creamy, light mocha head and generous lacing. It has a strong and fragrant nose featuring maple syrup, vanilla, toffee, brown sugar, and fresh coffee. The taste is not as sweet as the the smell would indicate. It opens with coffee and maple sugar but the flavor is balanced by bakers chocolate, burnt nuts, and char. There is a slight bitterness at the finish. It's very flavorful. The mouth feel is moderately creamy with a low level of carbonation, and the 10% ABV is barely noticeable. Thankfully, the taste isn't as sweet as the smell. It's very tasty and thoroughly enjoyable. All of the Silk City variants are excellent and this one's no exception.
