Excited to be the first reviewer. Decanted into a Sam Adams Perfect Pint; no production information.
A: Pours black hue with mahogany highlights, a three plus finger, chocolate malted head, lengthy retention of a finger, lasting at more than a rim, but somewhat spotty lacing.
S: Aromas of chocolate, graham cracker, cappuccino, and dark roast, coffee ice cream predominate.
T: Sweet and clearly from lactose sugar. Flavors resemble the nose -- I can imagine this whipped up at a fancy coffee shop, except for the alcohol. Bitterness amazingly subtle but important to the overall flavor pallet. Not boozy at all.
M: Full bodied with solid carbonation. Creamy resembling the consistency of cappuccino on the palate.
O: A complex, enjoyable, and very approachable Imperial (milk) Stout. Just a pleasure that will bring me back to Brix City.
